Samsung is looking to release another variant of its popular flagship, the Galaxy S5, in South Korea. According to South Korean Media Source Yonhap News, the manufacturer is set to launch a version of the Galaxy S5 equipped with a Snapdragon 805 and support for South Korea’s LTE-A network which allows for internet connection speeds of up to 225Mbps. The current global Galaxy S5 comes equipped with a Snapdragon 801 processor with LTE support achieving speeds of only up to 150Mbps.
While there is no confirmation whether this is the much rumoured about Galaxy F or Galaxy S5 Prime, the specifications of the device share a lot in common with the two rumoured devices. The device is purported to be equipped with a 2560×1440 QuadHD display with 3 GB of RAM.
The device is rumoured to be released in two day, on June 19th, in South Korea with carriers SK Telecom, LG Uplus and KT as they roll out their LTE-A networks.
