Samsung’s product announcement cycle over the past years have had the behemoth announce their Galaxy Note line of devices at IFA in Berlin sometime in September. According to The Korean Herald, the next iteration of the Samsung Gear line of devices is likely to be launched along side the Galaxy Note 4. There’s not much information behind what to expect but if recent trends are any indication, the device is likely to be running Samsung’s own Tizen OS. As in previous years with the Galaxy Note line, the device is likely to be available in time for Christmas if not sooner after the announcement.
Those looking forward to the Samsung Gear 3 will be facing fierce competition from the Android Wear Devices such as the LG G Watch and Moto360 which are expected to launch in the next few months, possibly at Google’s Developer Conference, Google I/O later this month. However, if recent patents and trademarks are any indication, Samsung is likely going to compete on equal footing with the rest of the manufacturers releasing its own Android Wear powered smartwatch the Samsung Wear.
When it comes to the Galaxy Note 4, not much has been leaked – which is a good thing. However, rumours have the device having a three sided display and a 5.7 inch display. We’ll just have to wait to find out more about the Galaxy Note 4 and the Samsung Gear 3.
