On 29 April 2014, the South Korean tech giant made an announcement that it will be releasing the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom as the successor of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom. This is a bit unconventional for the company that usually names its devices in numerical order. We were all under the assumption that the next device in line that will reign this time around would be named the S5 Zoom. Guess we stand corrected! The Galaxy K Zoom is currently only available in a number of markets – making it limited.
Nevertheless, there is happier news for the camera-phone cross over renamed the Galaxy Zoom 2. Even though the specifications remain unchanged, this was launched yesterday on Friday the 13th of June on the LG U+ network in South Korea for an estimated $680 (RM 2,200). The Galaxy K Zoom is equipped with a 4.8 inch 720p display, 2GB RAM, a hexa-core processor, 8 GB storage space and 2430mAh battery. It is running on the Android 4.4 KitKat.
