FxO lands in Japan and sports FireFox OS
The FxO has landed in Japan. This is a transparent handset designed by Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka and its runs on the Firefox OS. It’s produced by LG and sports a total transparent body that allows the user to look right at the internal hardware of the device.
The FxO sports a 4.7 inch display and is powered by a Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz which is mated to 1.5 GB worth of RAM. We’re not sure what resolution the display will be sporting but it will be powered by a 2370 mAh battery and have 16 GB worth of internal memory which is expandable via microSD up to 64 GB. Camera wise, the device has 8 megapixel main shooter on its back and on its front, it is equipped with a 2.1 megapixel camera.
The specs as you can see, are mid range and not much to be impressed by. The price of smartphone is 50,ooo Yen (MYR 1500/USD$430). With such a price tag, the FxO is the most expensive Firefox OS smartphone currently up to date. If you’re willing to pay such a hefty price for a mid range spec device but with a cool look, you can get it through KDDI in Japan. For now, there are no plans for a global launch.
