Facebook Messenger to get better in 2015
We have seen Facebook’s attempt to branch out into different services but hasn’t been quite successful with it yet, the company only found success in their recent purchases like WhatsApp with over 700 million users and Instagram with 300 million users. The only successful service from the company is their Facebook Messenger, which has 500 million active users and the company has a plan for major improvements.
Facebook has a plan this year in order to take the Facebook Messenger to 1 billion users around the world. Facebook’s idea is to provide services like voice-to-text transcription based on machine learning technology, and they are planning to test this new feature starting in Asia. This was all said at the Digital Life Design Conference in Munich by Facebook’s Vice President of Messaging Products, David Marcus. He also mentioned that, expanding Facebook Messenger to the business industry to help businessmen interact through Facebook Messenger and the company’s Facebook Page.
