Facebook acquires a Speech Recognition Firm
According to Reuters, social media tycoon, Facebook has acquired Wit.Ai, a speech recognition company. This may point to Facebook’s future projects. Wit.Ai works on technology for voice recognition for wearable devices and Internet connect appliances.
The social media company owns Oculus, the company known for its virtual reality goggles. It is a possibility that this new acquisition has more to do with combining it with Oculus rather than updating status on Facebook with our voices.
As of now, voice recognition has become a normal feature in many range of products so for the tech company, it can do basically just about anything with this new purchase.
