President Barack Obama has signed the E-Label Act two days ago as per announcement by the White House. With the E-Label Act, electronic manufacturers will now be able to label their gadgets and gizmos electronically instead of physically on the built of the product. Say goodbye to those ugly labels as now the labeling will be done through software instead so you can hid it and not see it if you choose not to.
With the change, tech companies are given more flexibility under Federal Communications Commission rules. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), the bill’s author, referred to the E-Label Act as a “commonsense” bill that would bring the law in line with the developments of the 21st century. I don’t know about others, but I’m so glad as a consumer! Now I get a pretty, sleek and clean smartphone!
