*update: press release, photos and video
Earlier yesterday the techENT team was invited to the official launch of the DJI Phantom 4 and DJI Osmo OM 160 into Malaysia. Safe to say that the Chinese based firm has, for the first time ever landed in Malaysia officially with a distribution partner ECS in tow. DJI has been one of the fastest growing technology firm providing aerial video solutions through the use of quadcopters or more fondly known as drones these days. They started out in 2006 building flight control systems and eventually manufacturing drones in 2011. It has never stopped growing ever since and the product line up for their Phantom series has just came up to 4 with improvements like added speed, smarter sofware, more sensors, and longer lasting battery from the Phantom 3. Of course that is not the only intriguing item they have brought in. The DJI Osmo OM 160 is what we would call a smart camera; no more shaky videos with the same gimbal technology found in the DJI Phantom drones. The Phantom 4 will retail for MYR6,199 and the Osmo OM 160 will retail for MYR2,499 through ECS authorised retailers all over Malaysia. Be excited, be very excited. Press release after the break.
