Apparently, Samsung is now boosting their production of Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge to accommodate for the overwhelming demands for those phones. ETNews has reported that Samsung recently has increased the orders by 13 million units ahead of the official launch for the phones this April!
ETNews also reports that most of the orders are the standard S6 phones – it took 9 million units of orders alone. The Galaxy S6 Edge could very well be in high-demand as well. But the curved display that comes with a higher price tag may be a factor that the sales doesn’t perform as well as the standard S6.
As of now, the total pre-orders that Samsung has for the S6 and S6 Edge combined is 20 million units! This is reported by The Korea Times. JK Shin, Samsung’s Mobile Chief, expressed that this time round, the pre-orders are “really huge”.
Many are wondering if the sales of S6 and S6 Edge will be able to take down Apple’s sales record. But of course, it’s still not clear whether they can clearly do so until the day it is officially available for sale. We reckon that the 20 million pre-orders is a good and solid start for Samsung.
