Cyanogen just impressed us with the OnePlusOne but it looks like the company is moving on fast to the next hardware. The company has confirmed that it is working on a top secret project with Nextbit. Nextbit is made up of technical geniuses from Google, Amazon, Apple and Dropbox.
The company most currently announced that it was bringing HTC’s former head of design Scott Croyle onboard. With what we’ve been seeing from HTC flagship smartphones, it would be extremely interesting to see what Cyanogen churns out in the smartphone market.
Cyanogen recently posted via Google+ that it wants fans to test out something really cool. Is this hinting at the company doing something totally new and fresh?
However, the company may not be looking at just smartphones. There have been clues about Cyanogen making its way to the wearable devices, smart TVs and car platform. Whether the partnership with Nextbit is one for a smartphone or smartwatch or anything else is really a grey area right now but whatever it is, it sounds extremely promising!
