The South Korean company has teased us via Twitter regarding an announcement revolving around the Samsung Exynos system on a chip (SoC) and the Exynos 5433, the next generation chip that will power the Galaxy Note 4.
This is not the first time that Samsung has announced the chipset before the smartphone is launched. The same was done with the Exynos 5410 – the first octa-core Exynos chip which was for the Galaxy S4.
The Exynos 5433 will feature an Intel XMM7260 Cat6 modem for LTE connectivity. With this, Samsung will be able to launch the Exynos variant of the Galaxy Note 4 in more countries. However, we do expect some Snapdragon variants to be available in certain locations.
The Exynos 5433 is likely to come in the big.SMALL architecture with four Cortex-A15 and four Cortex-A7 processing cores, along with an upgraded Mali GPU. Hence, making it an eight core processor increasing processing speed performance of the smartphone.
We’re going to find out all the details tomorrow (10 July 2014) and we’ll be there to update you on this Samsung tease. Hopefully, it actually is about the new Samsung Exynos chipset and not some other uninteresting product.
