The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is the go to tablet when it comes to a computer replacement, and it is no wonder with its lightweight design, thin profile, portability, high resolution screen and pure processing power. With its revolutionary design the other tablets in the market looks like it came from the last decade or so. It is a showcase of what Microsoft can do if they put together their thoughts and efforts into an ultimate product. The result is the perfect personal computer (PC) replacement ready at any time you are on the move. Of course the downside to it is that it is actually expensive, probably due to its exclusivity.
The computer hardware industry have been doing all they can to create products that could rival the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 to no avail. Their execution came up short most of the time and designs are impractical, or too heavy, or to bulky in the hands. But efforts do pay off and some manufacturers gets it close. One good example of the manufacturer that we can see from CES 2015 is Toshiba. Toshiba in CES just revealed the Portege Z20t. It is a tablet/laptop hybrid as well like the Surface Pro 3 allegedly with 12.5-inches 1080p Full HD screen and overall thickness of 0.35, almost exactly like the Surface Pro 3 as well. Where it differs though is what it weighs compares to the Surface Pro 3. The Microsoft hybrid tablet weighs in at 1.76 pounds (approx. 800 grams) while the Toshiba comes in at 1.6 pounds (approx. 725 grams). The lighter weight is supposed to make it more comfortable to hold in extended use situations.
