Lenovo’s press conference at CES 2015 in Las Vegas could very well be one of the biggest in the mobile scene this year. They announced a whole slew devices. The first up is the P90.
The Lenovo P90 is the Chinese’s manufacturer’s latest stride into the mobile space with a difference – Intel. The Lenovo P90 is Lenovo’s first device which is coming with Intel’s latest 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 quad core processor which comes with a built-in Intel LTE Advanced modem. The processor will be clocked at 1.83 GHz. Aside from the impressive processor, the P90 will be coming with a respectable 32GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM.
The Lenovo P90 will be coming with a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD IPS display with a 400 pixels per inch density. The display will be capable of 5 point multi-touch. This means that at any given time the capacitive sensor in the display will be able to detect 5 points of touch.
On the camera side of things, the Lenovo P90 will be coming with a 13-MegaPixel main camera with autofocus and optical image stabilisation (OIS) with LED flash. Lenovo touts amazing performance even in low light conditions. This will be complemented with a 5-MegaPixel fixed focus front facing camera. The front camera will come with gesture controls as well as a beautification feature.
A smartphone is nothing without connectivity. The Lenovo P90 will be able to utilise 4G LTE connectivity capable of 150Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload speeds thanks to the Intel modem. In addition to mobile connectivity, the P90 will be capable of WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac connectivity and Bluetooth 4.1 low energy as well as Bluetooth 3.0 High Speed.
The device will be powered by a humungous 4000 mAh battery. Lenovo hasn’t released estimated battery life just yet but we expect it to be amazing. All of this will be coming in a 150 x 77.4 x 8.5 mm body with a weight of 156g. The P90 will be coming in Pearl White, Lava Red and Onyx Black.
The Lenovo P90 will be coming with Android 4.4 KitKat with Lenovo’s proprietary Vibe UI on top according to the official specification sheet. However, according to announcements made at CES 2015 in Las Vegas, the device will be coming with Android 5.0 Lollipop with an updated Vibe UI 2.0.
Lenovo has announced the availability of the device beginning in February 2015 though no specificity for Malaysia or the Southeast Asian market has been announced as of yet.
