As part of Lenovo’s CES 2015 gala in Las Vegas, the Chinese manufacturer launched a follow up to their very unique Vibe X2: the Vibe X2 Pro. On the connectivity end, the device will be able to take advantage of 4G LTE speeds of up to 150Mbps and 50Mbps download and upload speeds respectively. The Vibe X2 will also be capable of WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac connectivity and Bluetooth 3.0 high speed and Bluetooth 4.0 Low energy.
The Vibe X2 Pro also sports dual SIM support allowing users to have more than one number linked to the device. The SIMs will be of the nano variety. It will also sport a single 3.5 mm audio jack and mini USB charging port. According to Lenovo’s specification sheet, the Vibe X2 Pro will be coming with Lenovo’s VIBE UI 2.0 on top of Android 4.4 KitKat. All of this will be powered by a 2410mAh lithium polymer battery which is embedded and non removable.
The Vibe X2 Pro will be launching in US sometime in April. No details on release for the Southeast Asian region as of yet but we’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for more.
Lenovo Vibe Xtension Selfie Flash
Along with the Vibe X2 Pro, Lenovo also revealed the VIBE Xtension Selfie Flash- a must have for selfie enthusiasts looking to get the device. The accessory is a flash extension that plugs into the 3.5 mm audio jack. It comprises 8 diffused LEDs which Lenovo touts to be able to capture “natural color tones even in low-light”. It is powered by its own 80 mAh battery which can supposedly snap upto 100 selfies on a single charge. It’s only 68 x 36 x 12 mm in size and weighs a feather light 10g.
For now, compatibility is only limited to the Vibe X2 Pro.
