[CES 2015] Android TV Dominates Sony’s New Bravia TVs
Android TV was first announced at Google I/O in June 2014. However, aside from the initial announcement, there has been little in the way of Android TV news since then – until now.
Sony decided to take the stage at CES 2015 in Las Vegas to announce a refresh to their Bravia line of Smart TVs with one difference – all their Smart TVs will be shipping with Android TV.
Android TV will bring Google Play to the Sony TVs. This will include apps and media streaming services such as Google Play Music All Access and Google Play TV & Movies. This comes with the slew of Google Play applications which are readily available on the Google Play Store. In addition, Hulu and Netflix are also available on the platform. Although it remains to be seen which of the services will be available with Sony’s Smart TVs when they launch internationally.
