Boost is Painting The Town Red
The eWallet revolution is beginning to kick into gear in Malaysia. Earlier this year, iPay88 alluded to an influx of eWallet platforms which will be leading the country’s transition into a truly cashless society. Enter Boost, one of the first eWallet platforms in country.
Towards the end of the end of last year, Boost announced a partnership with UTM which saw the app become the main eWallet platform for the university’s campuses across Malaysia. In addition to this, the app has also made its way into the truly Malaysian Pasar Malam (night market) and stores nationwide. It has also garnered a 800,000 strong user base which is still growing. Of these users, over 500,000 are merchants both online and offline in over 5,000 locations.
The apps many features including Scan and Pay, Request and Sends Money, and Split Bill take sharp aim at the many social situations which users find themselves in. These functions and features reinforce the company’s aim to become the nation’s preferred eWallet platform and to provide an addictive user experience that meets the needs of today’s customers.
To celebrate their launch with over 5,000 merchants nationwide and the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration, Boost is launching their ‘Paint the Town Red’ campaign. As part of the campaign, Boost enabled merchants online and offline will be displaying a red QR code for users to scan and pay. In addition, every transaction on the Boost App will be rewarded with ang pows which will contain exciting rewards.
The Boost app is available for free on both iOS and Android.
