It seems that Blackberry is having quite a busy year. On top of launching Blackberry Classic, it is now official that that it will launch Blackberry Passport.
The Blackberry Passport however is a little awkwardly shaped – it’s square! The QWERTY keyboard however makes up for the weird square.
Along with the Blackberry Classic and Blackberry Passport, the company has launched the Z3 in the first fiscal quarter of 2015. All the devices were revealed during Blackberry’s annual shareholder yesterday morning as announced by the CEO John Chen.
The BlackBerry Passport has a 4.5-inch square display that actually sounds quite desirable with a 1440×1440 resolution, but every other feature seems to be a bit too standard. It sports a QWERTY hardware keyboard underneath that huge square display, which is rumored to be touch-sensitive for gesture interaction.
The range of phones is most probably to bring up the revenue of the company which use to be garnered in mainly by the smartphones. This move is suppose to help the company become much more profitable in year 2016.
Although Blackberry has yet to be able to rival companies such as Apple and Samsung, this line of phones could be the start of their climb in the smartphone industry.
