ASUS has launched the Zenfone 5 Lite (A502CG)!
The Zenfone 5 Lite is a dual SIM mid tier smartphone that runs on Android KitKat. Emulating the designs from the original Zenfone 5, this latest handset is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with Hyper-Threading (four threads). This is mated with 1GB worth of RAM. The device sports a qHD (540×960). The specs so far seem to be a lower spectrum compared to the original Zenfone 5.
However, the 5 Lite does have one advantage over its older brother. It has a larger battery capacity – 2500mAh to be exact. The gadget also packs a 64-bit memory which is faster than most 1GB RAM phones. The device in addition, features an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 3 megapixel front shooter. Unfortunately, it only has 3G and no LTE.
The Zenfone 5 Lite is available in red, black and white. As of now, ASUS has only released in Philippines and it is still unclear if the phone will be available in other markets as its obvious that the company is gearing toward emerging markets. It costs USD$125 (MYR420) as of right now.
