Gameloft, the company known for the Asphalt racing games series has announced the latest addition to the series. The new spin off is called Asphalt Overdrive which is an endless racing game rather than a genuine arcade styled race.
Asphalt Overdrive is now available on Android, iOS, Windows Phone and Windows 8. Fans can now experience how well Asphalt works as an endless racing game. Gameloft even released a new trailer so players can watch and checkout the game play details.
Several changes have been made in Asphalt Overdrive. First off, the game will be in vertical orientation rather than landscape orientation. With these changes, a new control scheme is added. Instead of tilting or controlling the virtual pad, players will be able to swipe left or right to switch between lanes. Basically, it is similar to an endless running game e.g Temple Run but with exotic cars.
Asphalt Overdrive as similar to the main Asphalt games but the primary goal is no longer to past the finishing line. Players will still be able to perform take downs on other cars, outrun the cops and also perform crazy stunts. Instead of passing the finish line, there is plenty of fun and entertaining objectives to complete for the gamers.
As per usual with Asphalt games, Overdrive is ensured high production. It has a “New Eighties” theme with bright colors and lots of neon. The Asphalt Overdrive also includes a whole bunch of licensed cars with upgrades and new paint jobs to trick the cars out.
