Hot off Apple’s announcement of iOS 8 and OSX at its Worldwide Developers Conference, rumours are surfacing of the devices manufacturer’s plans for an Apple wearable centric event “tentatively” scheduled for October. The Apple wearable device is surely going to use Apple’s recently announced HealthKit Feature on iOS as its main platform in addition to, possibly, other third party applications.
Accord to the Nikkei Asian Review, industry sources seem to be indicating that the device will be featuring a curved OLED display and be equipped with sensors allowing it to collect health-related data, of course, aggregating into a single place – presumably, Apple’s own health app. It will also be able to handle notifications from a connected phone.
This also comes after Nike killed off its own in-house hardware manufacturing and is rumoured to be in a partnership with Apple for this devices.
