Apple is looking to include NFC in the brand new iPhone 6 variants for the Apple Pay service. But it looks like the tech giant may have more plans for NFC than we bargained for. The company is currently in discussion with technology providers such as HID Global and Cubic about utilizing NFC in building security access and public transit ticketing. It seems that the company really wants to take the wireless technology beyond the initial mobile payment scheme.
There has yet to an official comment for any party on the matter. NFC technology made its big debut on the iPhone 6 and iPhone Plus. It uses short range wireless technology for mobile payments processes. Apple is also looking to include the NFC chip in the recently launched iPad Air 2 and Retina iPad Mini 3 to ensure security of the Apple Pay service that is going to be launched soon.
