A new Apple patent has surfaced! This time it looks to be one for a brand new cover for the iPad! It looks to be an upgraded Smart Cover.
With the patent, users will be able to peel back just a section of the iPad cover to read notifications or access the control panel. With this, users can adjust volumes and brightness. If another section of the cover is pulled back, you can now watch a video.
How does Apple plan to achieve this? The key is in the iPad software and modifying the sensors by using extra magnets so that the gadget can recognize the amount of screen that is exposed or covered. When the sensors are able to this, the device can respond according to the cover sections.
However, although this may seem do-able and an interesting idea, we are keeping it real. Many patents seem to be published but never taken to the next level of production. Nevertheless, what do you think of the new Smart Cover patent? Let us know in the comment section below!
