So, we’ve been hearing leaks and rumors fly around about the Apple iPhone 6. Along with this, expectations have increased continuously as we have our eyes set on the September release of the anticipated device.
Well, sorry to burst your bubble! From the recent reports from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is facing production issues that may cause a delay. According to the analyst, the launch of the 5.5 inch variant of the Apple iPhone 6 may be pushed to 2015. With this delay of the larger device, the 4.7 inch model may be withheld till the larger version is ready to be released.
The 5.5 inch variant looks to face more issues due to the larger size. Along with the rumored problems with the production of the sapphire glass display, the bigger model may be released in October in limited numbers. However, a 2015 launch looks more likely at the moment. If however, the 4.7 inch version of the Apple iPhone 6 is released in September, Apple may cut prices of the iPhone 5c and 5s.
This is not the first time that the 5.5 inch Apple iPhone 6 has been rumored to be facing production problems. Previously, there were whispers about issues regarding battery life and display. But Bloomberg reported that these hiccups were ironed out.
Apple is expected to release both the 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch variant in September. The devices are to have a larger screen, thinner profiles and a faster A8 processor. In addition, both will have improved cameras. The larger version will have optical image stabilization while the smaller model will include enhanced camera modules.
However, with the constant production issues coming up, we won’t be surprised if Apple releases an official announcement regarding a delay. Sad but true. All we have right now are leaks and rumors. We might have to wait even longer to just find out what the Apple iPhone 6 will really feature!
