KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is at it again! He now reports that Apple has changed its plans and may launch all three of its gadgets – the iPad Air 2, the iPhone 6 and the iWatch during its September 9 event. This will of course, differ from the company’s usual routine of unveiling iPhones in September and keep iPads for October’s press event.
Apple is set to give the iPad 2 some improvements including an anti-reflective display. The company is rumored to pay more attention to the iPad 2 instead of the iPad Mini because the larger of the two is much more popular with consumers. According to the analyst:
“In light of limited development resources and the fact that iPad Air contributes more to Apple’s sales and earnings than iPad mini, we think that only iPad Air 2 will see a major upgrade in specs this year, including anti-reflective coating for the cover lens, full lamination for the touch panel, a gold-colored metal casing, an A8 processor, Touch ID/ fingerprint recognition and an 8-megapixel rear camera. iPad mini may be upgraded with fingerprint recognition, if any.”
A report by Digitimes has also explained that the iPad Air will be thinner than its predecessor. If the rumor is true and Apple decides to go all out for the event, we can’t wait to tune in 2 days to see if any of the leaks turned out to be true.
