Apple is known for having a tight lip on its company’s products and inner workings. This secrecy attitude obviously has also been imposed onto suppliers of the company. It seems to ensure that suppliers keep quiet about any business with the Cupertino company, a USD$50 million fine will be imposed on whoever basically, spills the beans.
This detail comes from the new court documents from the filing of GT Advanced Technologies for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The docuemtns reveal that Apple’s terms and conditions are quite burdensome to suppliers as the company forces a $50 million fine on its partners who leak parts. It’s not clear that GT Advanced Technologies is subject to such a fine, but that’s a detail that hasn’t yet been known about Apple’s business practices.
It seems that before GT Advanced winds down, it might want to air out as much dirty laundry as possible. Apple however, might not be too happy about the detailed arguments its former manufacturing company keeps throwing for all society to see. Well, no matter how disgruntled the tech giant gets, it still has yet to comment on the issue.
