Google is releasing the latest update for Android Wear. The 4.4W.2 update is a minor update but includes quite a few useful changes.
The update has only become available for the G Watch but we’re expecting it to arrive on the Gear Live and Moto 360 any day now. The minor updates for Android Wear include support for built-in GPS and the ability to pair bluetooth speakers and headphones directly to the watch.
Another update that might interest you more is the new Play Music command that allows you to now say “Ok Google, Play Music” to start the “I’m feeling lucky” radio station on Google Play Music. Users can start up music without pulling out their phones.
In addition, there is also the top notification dismissal gesture. With the update, users can swipe down on that card to make a notification disappear from the face of the smartwatch without shutting the notification down entirely. It’s more like putting it away in a drawer until you want to see it.
