The Nexus 6 is a big phone. Well, today most of what we see, the phones are getting bigger. Just look at the iPhone 6 Plus! Phones nowadays have blown up to become what we know as phablets! Are users really looking to buy devices that are not 4.5 inches anymore but 6 inches, maybe even 7 inches like the PadFone?
We were blown away with the size of the Nexus 6 but it seems at Google, it isn’t that big of a deal and Android users actually would prefer the bigger sized phablets compared to the ‘normal’ sized smartphones. Google says users just have to try it out first.
Google’s Brian Rakowski, VP of Product Management for Android dismisses criticism of the Nexus 6′s size saying that if users don’t like it, there’s always the Nexus 5. Rakowski goes on to explain that Android users would actually prefer the phablet sized phones. He claims that “if you gave them a phablet for a week, 50 percent of those would say they like it and not go back.” And hence, that’s why Apple bite their words back and decided bigger is better this time around.
