Airdroid allows users to wirelessly control and manage their Android devices from a web browser. It was designed with the vision to bridge the gap between users Android device and web browser, desktop computers or any tablet devices. All on Windows or Mac.
Airdroid is a virtual desktop and an “alert assistant” for Android devices and it does more than that! Airdroid is still listed as one of the best productivity apps for Android and was featured as one of the best app to transfer files to and from users Android devices. But this was all in the previous version of Airdroid.
Airdroid version 3 is here as a beta app and the developers has added a standalone desktop manager for Windows and Mac. Even though the Airdroid desktop client is not a copy of the “virtual desktop” web interface, the basic mechanism for accessing the trendy feature is without relying on a browser. Airdroid can also display low-frame-rate video feed of the users smartphone’s screen and can even take screenshots with root permissions. This only works in beta version of the web interface.
Users can transfer files from the desktop to their Android devices by plugin in the USB cable. This can be done by dragging and dropping. By using a rapid-charger (wireless charger), users must wait for the device to recognize. But by simply dragging and dropping, this is much more easier and all data is protected by end-to-end encryption.
There is a lot of changes in Airdroid 3 and its becoming better. If users spend a lot of time behind the desktop, Airdroid is the best productivity app that will make the users day more efficient.
