ŌURA is introducing the Oura Ring 4 Ceramic, the company’s first smart ring that marries both tech and aesthetics. This new iteration moves beyond the traditional metallic finishes, adopting high-performance zirconia ceramic to create a product that functions as both a sophisticated piece of jewellery and a powerful 24/7 health monitor.
The decision to introduce ceramic is a direct response to user demand for a more rugged exterior. While the titanium Oura Ring 4 is durable, the PVD coatings used for its color finishes can be prone to scuffing and fading. The Ceramic Ring 4 solves this by offering a material with a Mohs hardness rating of 8.5 out of 10. This rating means the ring’s exterior is harder than most steel, significantly reducing the likelihood of minor scratches from daily wear.
Design Innovation and Enhanced Comfort
The Oura Ring 4 Ceramic is built around a two-material structure: a high-performance zirconia ceramic exterior and a non-allergenic, titanium inner shell. This combination maximizes comfort and performance. The ceramic exterior, molded and fortified using a traditional firing process, delivers a smooth, polished finish.

A key advantage of ceramic is that the color is inherent to the material itself, created with internal minerals rather than a surface coating. This technical difference ensures the color remains rich and vibrant and will not wear off or fade over time.
The use of ceramic has slightly altered the dimensions. The Ceramic model measures 3.51 mm thick (up from 2.88 mm on the titanium version) and weighs between 5.1 g and 8.1 g depending on size. Despite this slight increase, the ring’s overall form maintains its commitment to 24/7 comfort, with recessed sensors on the interior that sit smoothly against the skin.
Advanced Smart Sensing Technology
The Oura Ring 4 Ceramic features the same cutting-edge technology as the base Oura Ring 4, ensuring no sacrifice in health tracking accuracy. The ring is powered by the Smart Sensing technology platform, which continuously adapts to the wearer’s finger and current activity.
The sensor array tracks over 50 health metrics and includes:
- Green and Infrared LEDs: Alternate to measure heart rate 24/7, Heart Rate Variability (HRV), and respiration rate.
- Red and Infrared LEDs: Measure blood oxygen levels while the user sleeps.
- Digital Temperature Sensor: Measures average body temperature variations and is used for features like Illness Detection and Cycle Insights.
The device delivers sophisticated daily scores for Sleep, Activity, and Readiness, alongside specialised tracking for Cardiovascular Age and estimated VO2 Max. Battery life remains a strength, typically lasting between five and eight days per charge.
Flexibility and New Accessories
Oura also introduced key software and accessory updates to enhance the overall experience. A new software feature allows users to pair multiple Oura Ring 4 styles (ceramic and titanium) to a single account, allowing them to switch rings based on outfit or activity without disrupting continuous health tracking.

For travel, the new Oura Ring 4 Charging Case will be available. Built from recycled aluminum, this compact case stores enough internal battery power for up to five full ring charges and uses a USB-C port for recharging.
Pricing & Availability
The Oura Ring 4 Ceramic is available for purchase now and is offered in four expressive colourways, inspired by traditional ceramics: Midnight, Petal, Cloud, and Tide.
Using the latest available exchange rate (1 USD ≈ 4.22 MYR), the pricing is as follows:
