Samsung Announces New Lightweight Bespoke AI Jet Lite Stick Vaccuum

Samsung has just dropped its latest cordless stick vacuum cleaner, the Bespoke AI Jet Lite, and it’s making waves with its combination of lightweight design, powerful suction, and intelligent AI features. Building on the success of its predecessor, this new model aims to make everyday cleaning easier and more efficient.

Lightweight Design for Effortless Cleaning

One of the standout features of the Bespoke AI Jet Lite is its weight. In handheld mode, it weighs a mere 1.45kg, which is a significant 23% lighter than the previous model. This lightweight design makes it a breeze to clean those hard-to-reach areas like the tops of cabinets, window blinds, ceilings, and walls. Even with the brush attachment, the unit stays under 3kg, so you can easily maneuver it for thorough cleaning throughout your home.

Powerful Suction with AI Efficiency

Don’t let the light weight fool you – this vacuum sucks! It’s equipped with a HexaJet Motor that can spin up to 140,000 rpm, delivering powerful suction up to 280W. This impressive suction power means the Bespoke AI Jet Lite can handle cleaning tasks on its own, or it can be used alongside a robot vacuum for the ultimate cleaning dream team.

But what really sets this vacuum apart is its upgraded AI functionality. Thanks to Samsung’s AI Optimum Tech, the AI Cleaning Mode 2.0 can now recognize more cleaning environments, including different carpet types (long-pile or short-pile) and corners, by sensing the brush load and air pressure. It then intelligently adjusts settings like suction power to maintain performance similar to Mid mode, while also reducing battery consumption by 14% and improving maneuverability by 8%. How cool is that?

Hygiene and Convenience Combined

Samsung has also prioritized hygiene and convenience with the Bespoke AI Jet Lite. It features a HEPA Filtration System with a four-layer fine dust filter and optimized machine sealing, ensuring that even the tiniest dust particles are captured. This means cleaner air for you while you vacuum, which is a big win for allergy sufferers.

Cleaning the vacuum itself is also a breeze, as the dustbin and multi-cyclone system parts are washable. And for even more convenience, the All-in-one Clean Station provides a hygienic way to empty the dustbin and automatically charges the vacuum. This Clean Station uses multi-layered filtration to trap 99.999% of dust particles, so you don’t have to worry about fine dust escaping when you empty the bin.

A New Addition to Samsung’s Diverse Vacuum Lineup

The Bespoke AI Jet Lite is just one of the exciting new additions to Samsung’s diverse vacuum lineup for 2025. If you’re looking for maximum power, there’s the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, which boasts up to 400W of suction. And for those who prefer a robot vacuum, there’s the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra, which can even mop. Samsung is clearly committed to providing personalized cleaning solutions for every need and preference.

Bespoke AI Jet Lite modelsIn addition to the Bespoke AI Jet series, Samsung also offers models like the Jet 95 and 85, each with various specialized cleaning solutions like Spray Spinning Sweepers, Clean Stations, and different brush configurations. This wide variety ensures that consumers can find the perfect vacuum for their home.

EPSON M2050 Monochrome Printer Review: Monochromic Efficiency

In today’s dynamic environment, whether you’re navigating the demands of a burgeoning small business or tackling a heavy academic workload, a dependable and efficient printer remains a vital tool. The EPSON M2050 Monochrome Printer steps into this space, specifically engineered for users who prioritize affordability, precision in text output, and long-term durability. Let’s dissect its features, build quality, printing prowess, software integration, and the crucial aspect of overall cost to understand its true impact on the day-to-day user experience.

Design & Build Quality: Form Follows Function
The EPSON M2050 presents a practical and space-conscious design, making it a suitable addition to both compact home offices and more expansive workspaces. Its dimensions, clocking in at 37.5 cm (width) x 34.7 cm (depth) x 30.2 cm (height), ensure a minimal footprint on your desk. While the aesthetic leans towards a professional, no-nonsense appearance, the robust construction immediately instills confidence in its longevity.

The choice of a matte finish across the chassis is a thoughtful one, effectively resisting the accumulation of dust and fingerprints that can plague glossier devices. Operation is facilitated by a straightforward control panel, featuring a clear 1.44-inch monochrome LCD display and tactile physical buttons. This design choice ensures ease of use for individuals with varying levels of technical familiarity. The implementation of a front-loading ink tank system is a significant plus, offering uncomplicated access for refills, a process EPSON has streamlined to minimize mess. Furthermore, the front access also simplifies the often-frustrating task of resolving paper jams. Overall, the design ethos here is clearly centered on practicality and ease of maintenance, key considerations for any high-usage environment.

Features: Productivity and Cost-Efficiency at its Core
The EPSON M2050 is packed with features designed to enhance productivity and drive down operational costs. Let’s delve into the specifics:

Monochrome Inkjet Technology with PrecisionCore Printhead: At its heart, the M2050 utilizes EPSON’s renowned PrecisionCore printhead technology. This inkjet system is engineered to deliver laser-like print quality for text documents, producing sharp and well-defined characters. While its monochrome capability means it’s not suited for color graphics or photos, this focus allows it to excel in its primary function: producing high-quality text.
Integrated Ink Tank System: This is a standout feature, replacing traditional cartridges with refillable ink tanks. The initial ink bottles provided offer a substantial yield, significantly reducing the frequency of replacements and the associated costs. This design directly addresses the needs of high-volume users seeking an economical printing solution.
High Print Speed: The M2050 boasts a print speed of up to 18 images per minute (ipm). This ensures that large documents and multiple print jobs are handled efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity, especially in busy office environments.
Automatic Duplex Printing: The inclusion of automatic two-sided printing is a valuable asset for both saving paper and creating professional-looking documents. While the duplex speed is naturally a bit lower than single-sided printing, the convenience and cost savings it offers are significant.
Water-Resistant Pigment Ink: The use of pigment-based ink is a crucial detail. Unlike dye-based inks, pigment inks offer superior resistance to water and smudging. This ensures the longevity and legibility of printed documents, making them suitable for archival purposes and environments where accidental spills might occur.
Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct Connectivity: The M2050 offers flexible connectivity options. Standard Wi-Fi allows seamless integration into existing network infrastructures, enabling printing from multiple devices. Wi-Fi Direct provides a direct connection between the printer and a smartphone or tablet without the need for a router, offering added convenience for on-the-go printing.
Epson Smart Panel App Integration: This mobile application extends the printer’s functionality, allowing users to initiate print and scan jobs directly from their smartphones or tablets. The app also provides real-time status updates on ink levels and facilitates basic maintenance tasks, enhancing user convenience and control.
Energy-Efficient Heat-Free Technology: EPSON’s Heat-Free Technology is a notable inclusion. By eliminating the need for heat in the printing process, the M2050 consumes significantly less power compared to traditional laser printers. This not only translates to lower electricity bills but also contributes to a more environmentally conscious operation.
While the lack of color printing might be a limitation for some users, the M2050’s feature set is laser-focused on delivering efficient, high-quality monochrome output with a strong emphasis on cost savings and user convenience.

Print Quality & Speed: Performance Where It Counts
In terms of output, the EPSON M2050 consistently delivers sharp and clear monochrome prints. Text appears crisp and well-defined, even at smaller font sizes, making it ideal for detailed documents, reports, and academic papers. The advertised print speed of 18 ipm holds up well in practical use, allowing for swift completion of large print jobs. The automatic duplex printing function operates smoothly, efficiently producing double-sided documents with minimal user intervention.

While it’s important to reiterate that the M2050 is not designed for photo or color printing, it excels in its intended domain. The combination of the PrecisionCore printhead and the pigment-based ink results in durable, smudge-free text documents that maintain their legibility over time. This makes it a reliable workhorse for tasks where clarity and longevity are paramount.

Total Cost of Ownership and Other Features: The Bottom Line
One of the most compelling aspects of the EPSON M2050 is its remarkably low total cost of ownership. The individual ink bottles, typically priced around $15 each, offer an impressive yield of approximately 6,000 pages per bottle. This translates to a significantly lower cost per page compared to traditional toner cartridges used in laser printers. This economic advantage makes the M2050 a particularly attractive option for users with high printing volumes.

Furthermore, the energy-efficient Heat-Free Technology contributes to lower operational costs by reducing electricity consumption. Over the lifespan of the printer, these savings can be substantial.

The integration with the Epson Smart Panel app further enhances the user experience by providing a convenient interface for managing printing and maintenance tasks directly from mobile devices. The inclusion of both standard Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct offers versatile connectivity options, ensuring seamless integration into various network environments and easy direct printing from mobile devices.

Conclusion: A Focused Solution for Efficient Monochrome Printing
For users whose primary printing needs revolve around high-quality monochrome documents and who prioritize efficiency and cost savings, the EPSON M2050 Monochrome Printer emerges as a strong contender. Its robust build quality, eco-friendly and economical ink tank system, and precision-focused performance make it an ideal choice for small businesses, home offices, and students with substantial printing demands. However, it’s crucial to acknowledge that if color printing or high-resolution photo printing are essential requirements, the M2050 will not meet those needs.

Ultimately, the EPSON M2050 strikes a compelling balance between affordability, ease of use, and exceptional monochrome performance. It proves that in an increasingly digital world, a reliable and cost-effective monochrome printer still holds significant value for specific user needs.

However, the 3(a) Pro elevates the photography experience with a triple-camera setup, featuring a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, and an 8MP telephoto lens. The addition of the telephoto lens is a significant upgrade, enabling optical zoom capabilities, a feature often reserved for higher-end devices. Nothing’s image processing algorithms, applied to both models, aim to deliver natural-looking images with accurate colour reproduction.

Honor’s Alpha Plan Includes 7-year Software Support Putting It Ahead of Other Chinese Manufacturers

For years, the Android ecosystem has grappled with the issue of short-lived software support, leaving users with devices that quickly become outdated, both in terms of features and security. While Apple has consistently provided lengthy software updates for its iPhones, Android manufacturers have struggled to match this commitment. This disparity has not only fueled concerns about e-waste but also raised questions about the long-term value of Android devices.

In this context, Honor’s recent announcement of a 7-year software support pledge for its Magic series marks a watershed moment. It’s a clear signal that the company is taking software longevity seriously, aligning itself with the likes of Google and Samsung. This move is not just about keeping devices running; it’s about providing users with a sense of security and a long-term investment.

Honor’s commitment to 7 years of OS and security updates effectively puts them on par with the industry leaders, signalling a shift towards a more sustainable and user-friendly approach. The timing of this announcement is particularly noteworthy. With consumers increasingly holding onto their devices for longer periods, the demand for extended software support has grown. Honor’s move addresses this demand, positioning the Magic series as a viable long-term investment. This is a crucial differentiator in a market saturated with options, allowing Honor to carve out a niche for itself among users who prioritize longevity and security.

It’s important to note that Honor has now joined the ranks of Google and Samsung in offering 7-year support, putting the company ahead of other Chinese manufacturers, who typically cap out at around four years of updates. This puts Honor in a unique position, bridging the gap between the extended support offered by industry giants and the shorter timelines of its domestic competitors.

The Alpha Plan – An Investment in Developing AI Holistically

But the 7-year support is just one piece of the puzzle. Honor’s Alpha Plan, a comprehensive AI strategy, further underscores the company’s commitment to innovation.4 The $10 billion investment in global AI development signals Honor’s ambition to become a leader in the AI-powered smartphone space. The Alpha Plan aims to integrate AI seamlessly into the user experience, enhancing everything from camera performance to productivity tools.5 This strategic focus on AI aligns with the broader industry trend, as manufacturers race to develop intelligent features that anticipate user needs.

The Alpha Plan is not merely about adding gimmicky AI features. It’s about creating a holistic AI ecosystem that enhances the functionality of Honor devices. This includes advancements in on-device AI processing, allowing for faster and more efficient execution of AI tasks. The company’s focus on privacy and security is also evident, with a commitment to ensuring that AI processing is handled responsibly.

Honor’s aggressive push into AI and software support is a clear indication of its intent to compete with the established players in the Android market. By addressing the long-standing issue of software longevity and embracing the transformative potential of AI, Honor is positioning itself as a forward-thinking and user-centric brand.

In the past, one of the main criticisms levelled at Honor, and other Chinese manufacturers like Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi, was the relatively short period of software support. This has caused some to be wary of investing in those devices. Now, Honor has finally addressed this issue, which is a huge win for them.
