XiaoMi Hard at Work with the XiaoMi Mi4
Chinese mobile device manufacturer XiaoMi may have just launched its Mi3 here in Malaysia, but it looks like they aren’t resting on their laurels when it comes to devices. Rumours are flying with leaked images of the manufacturer’s next Flagship phone, the XiaoMi Mi4.
Rumours began emerging earlier this year on the heels of the announcement of the XiaoMi MiPad of the Mi4. The device is expected to be a 1080p FullHD 5-inch device powered by either Qualcomm or Nvidia Quad Core processor with 4G LTE capabilities. More compelling is the rumour that the XiaoMi Mi4 will have a metal body much like HTC’s One which is seemingly confirmed with the leaked images of the chasis. Also noticeably different in the leaked pictures is the screen bezel which has been reduced tremendously on XiaoMi Mi4 as compared to the Mi3. Aside from this, the device is also expected to come with a 16 megapixel camera with no word of the front facing camera.
Not much else is known of the device, but speculation is rampant that the choice of using metal for the body of the XiaoMi Mi4 is going to result in a price bump when it gets released. The XiaoMi Mi3 is retailing now for RM 769 (USD$ 240) from the manufacturer’s official website.
The XiaoMi Mi4 is expected to be announced close to IFA later this year.
