The Huawei P9 Plus is the Chinese company’s latest flagship device. We’re taking a look at what comes in the box of this RM2599 device.
The Huawei P9 Plus comes with an Octacore (8 core) HiSilicone Kirin 955 clocked at 2.5GHz and 1.8GHz with 4GB of RAM supported by a Mali T880 graphics processor. All of this is powered by a 3,400mAh battery. The P9 Plus has 64GB of on-board storage which can be expanded with a microSD card. It’s capable of dual SIM functionality with a hybrid SIM slot. The second SIM slot doubles as an microSD card slot.
The P9 Plus comes with a 1080 x 1920 pixel Full HD 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display. It’s able to connect to WiFi on the a/b/g/n/ac bands and is 4G LTE capable. In addition, it also comes with Near Field Communications (NFC) , Bluetooth 4.2 and an infrared blaster. It also comes with a fingerprint reader which does more than just unlock your phone.
The most unique feature of the Huawei P9 Plus is its main camera modules which is co-engineered with camera experts, Leica. The camera is one of the first cameras on the market with a dual 12-megapixel sensor with f2.2 aperture. The retail price for the Huawei P9 Plus is RM2,599. It’s also available on contract from all major carrier in Malaysia. Huawei’s P9 which comes with a smaller battery and 32GB of space is retailing for RM2,099 and is available from all major carriers for free on a 2 year contract.
