Samsung files for Trademark for Gear S
The legal department of the South Korean tech giant has definitely been busy.
Samsung has a total of four devices in its smartwatch line – three run on its very own Tizen operating system while the other runs on Google’s Android Wear platform. This is quite impressive as some companies don’t even have one device out in the tech wearable market!
Well, the company is not done just yet as it looks to add to the family. Sources have stated that Samsung has just filed for a trademark on the Gear S in America. The way the Gear S is described is really broad which leads us to believe that the focus on what the device might actually feature is still unclear. It might be variant to the Samsung Gear 2 with a SIM card and cellur connectivity.
This document filing fuels the rumours that a line of wearables will be launched alongside the Galaxy Note 4 later this year. However, as details are still few and far between regarding the Gear S, we are just going to have to wait patiently for more official details or even some leaks to start going around.
Not to worry, we have got a close eye on this matter and we will hopefully have an update for you soon regarding specs!
