Samsung’s reign as the king of smartphones these days are quite well known and quite literally undisputed. Although the years has not been good to them as their smartphone sales continue to dwindle down they are still the top manufacturer shipping the biggest amount of smartphone units through the world. Again that should not be surprising given the amount of types of smartphones the Korean based manufacturer has in its stables and with all the different segments they penetrates. Then again the amount of different manufacturers that are actually popping out everywhere are hurting Samsung’s sales numbers as well. So bad that they actually decided that the best thing to do is maybe start focusing on their high-end Galaxy models; after all those are their best sellers.
Not too recently Samsung also just replaced their mobile division head with someone who actually brought the Galaxy Note 5 to light, Dongjin Koh. Now with the sales numbers getting hurt, financials are not exactly the Korean giant’s strongest suit at this time too. In fact experts suggests that they need to turn to some substantial profits in the coming years to cover the losses incurred these few years of projecting losses. Of course, our new top guy in the Samsung mobile division acknowledges that but also admits that it will not be easy at all.
He actually suggests that next year 2016 is going to be very hard on Samsung and he is not expecting great financial turnovers in the 2016 either.
Currently this is the only changes to the Samsung corporate structure. It is also noted that this is not some major overhauls and there are no major reshuffling is plans in the near future. We do have to take note however that this Korean giant do tend to do major reshuffling when and as they pleased without any prior warning from time to time. Here is hoping that this major reshuffling turn Samsung into a profitable brandname again.
