Oppo has announced that they’re bringing in a new device to the Malaysian market. The new Oppo A57 is a follow-up to last year’s low-end selfie shooter, the A37. The Oppo A57 will undoubtedly be priced below the RM700 mark. The device brings a whole new experience to selfie enthusiasts with upgrades to last year’s model.
The Oppo A57 will come with an entry-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The processor will be supported by 3GB of RAM, 32GB and an Adreno 505 graphics processor. The device will have dual SIM and SD card support. Of course, as with the A37, you’ll need to choose between the SD or Dual SIM functionality. The device will be coming with Android 6.0, Marshmallow. Of course, expect Oppo’s Color OS 3.0 to be running on top of it.
The new Oppo A57 comes with a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with multitouch and high definition (HD) 720p resolution. This gives a pixel density of 282ppi. The device will be powered by a 2,900mAh battery which Oppo claims to have 11 hours of video playback, 23 hours of phone usage or 13.5 hours on mixed usage.
The mainstay of the device is the cameras. The main camera is a 13-megapixel f/2.2 shooter with phase detection autofocus and HDR functionality. The front-facing camera, however, comes with a larger 16-megapixel with f/2.2 aperture and 1.12μm pixel size; echoing Oppo’s mantra of being a “selfie expert”.
