Meizu has announced plans for its brand spanking new sub-brand known as “PRO”. The sub-brand is made specially for the more higher end smartphones from the company and the first of its kind we will see is the PRO 5.
The company will be having a press conference on the 25th of September to give us further details on the PRO Series. According to VP Li Nan,
“Many of the domestic flagship devices are using Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, but the user experience sucks, consumers are often being fooled, sadly, no one in the industry is ready to tell the truth, but Meizu hopes that by publishing this sub-brand ‘PRO’ they change this status. A lot of consumer high-end smartphone OEMs are blindly following the trend, rather than to really solve the fundamental problems.”
Rumor has it that the premium smartphone will have a metallic design and be powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 MT6797 deca-core processor or a Samsung Exynos 7420. Further, the smartphone is rumored to be compacted into a 5.5-inch 1080p display complemented by 4GB worth of RAM and 32 GB worth of memory. Being powered by a 3000 mAh battery, the Pro 5 should have a whopping 21 megapixel shooter on its back.
