Lenovo Vibe X2 launches in Malaysia!
Lenovo has revealed its newest flagship smartphone, the Vibe X2 here in Malaysia. The Vibe X2 is known to be a trend setter with its bold and unique design that makes it stand out from even the VIBE family. The Vibe X2 is the first layered smartphone in the world and is a device that boasts high speed performance as it is powered by the latest MediaTek True Octa-core™ processor. In addition to this, the slim headset is being launched with Lenovo’s innovative VIBE XtensionTM click-on cases.
At the launch event, Khoo Hung Chuan, the Country General Manager for Lenovo Malaysia described the Vibe X2 as:

Lenovo designed the Vibe X2 with personalization in mind. The device has three layers which is accented with bold colors. In manufacturing the gadget, the company was meticulous and had each hue printed and matched to ensure a visually harmonious wall of shades. The smartphone has a total of nine coatings which was done to ensure a sleek finish.
The Vibe X2 is in addition, the first handset to ship with the latest MediaTek MT6595 True Octa-core™ processor with 4G LTE. The CorePilot technology in the device unlocks the full power of all eight cores which enables the processor to give a smooth consumer experience, fast 4G data transmission and long battery life.
What is interesting is the fourth layer to this device which is the VIBE XtensionTM click on case. This time around, Lenovo is introducing two VIBE XtensionsTM, the VIBE X2 Battery and the VIBE X2 Speaker. These accessories are aimed at enhancing consumer experience on the Vibe X2.
The VIBE X2 Battery Extension extends its battery life by up to 75 percent, giving consumers a total of 4,600mAh battery capacity including the battery already powering the smartphone. The VIBE X2 Battery Extension is priced at MYR 139 (USD$41) and only measures at 5.1 mm in thickness. An auxiliary micro-USB port simultaneously charges the case and battery.
Next, the VIBE X2 Speaker is the first click-on speaker that uses the JBL tuned hi-fi sound. Other accessories included when you buy the Vibe X2 is a convenient hands-free stand, wireless Bluetooth connectivity and a built-in battery for 5 hours of uninterrupted audio playback.
So, to sum it up. The Lenovo Vibe X2 is available right now for MYR 1199 (USD$344). It is a flagship that is powered by a 2.0 GHz Octa-core 4G LTE True8Core processor and runs on Android™ 4.4 Kit Kat out of the box. The Vibe X2 sports a 5 inch Full HD IPS (1920 x 1080) display screen.
Also, the device has 2GB worth of RAM that is mated with 32 GB worth of internal memory. It has twice the storage capacity to its predecessor. It has dual SIM capabilities and is powered by a 2300 mAh Li-polymer battery. Camera wise, the headset has a 13 megapixel auto-focus back main camera equipped with LED flash. On its front, it has a 5 megapixel fixed-focus shooter.
The Vibe X2 has 4G/LTE and 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity, guaranteeing the fastest access speed for any content online or offline. It measures 140.2mm (H) x 68.6mm (W) and weighs only 120 grams. The smartphone comes in an array of colors such as White, Gold, Red and Dark Grey.
