iPhone 6 Pictured in the Wild
There is a mysterious iPhone 6 on the loose. And who is the owner? None other than Taiwanese media celebrity and race car driver Jimmy Lin as seen in the image above as posted on his Weibo account. This isn’t the first time this star has claimed to have a device before its debut. This time he has taken a selfie and is holding what he says is the iPhone 6. But don’t get your hopes us. This just maybe one of the few physical mock-ups that have been making its rounds. Also, we need to take what this megastar says with a grain of salt.
Why? Well, he previously in 201o claimed to have the mini iPad before its launch but this was confirmed to be a dummy iPhone 5 or just its shell casing at least. For all we know, we could expect it to be a knock off based on specs that had been circulating around the net. Take a look above where we have attached the photos he has posted of his ‘iPhone 6’.
According to the 39 year old Lin, this is the real thing. He stated along with the photos that there is the expected 4.7-inch screen and notes that the “power shifted to the right,” that the antenna is coated on the outside of the phone. “Larger screen, good grip,” he said but then contradicting himself saying it’s “slippery.” Hmm, he has the legit phone but can’t make up his mind in his review. Sounds… suspicious. Also, his device seems to be lacking the trademark Apple logo although it does look similar to the images posted by Halo Direct. It is further noted that none of the photos actually show the phone turned on.
With all this misses, I wouldn’t be surprise if this isn’t as ‘legit’ as the star claims but don’t forget, Lin was right when awhile ago when he did have the real iPhone 5s before it debuted. It’s really up to the individual whether to believe Lin.
The iPhone 6 is expected to be launched this year in September. Its model is set to have a 4.7 inch display screen. A 5.5 inch version is also in the process of making its grand entrance, the date however is still unclear.
