iPhone 6 sells 10 Million units in first weekend
Apple has announced that in its opening weekend of sales, the 4.7 inch iPhone 6 as well as the larger 5.5 inch iPhone 6 Plus have sold over 10 million units. This breaks the previous record of nine million units set last year with the sale of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c.
The demand according to the company, has been through the roof and the tech giant expects more orders to be flooding in in the next couple of weeks. On the first day itself, Apple claimed to have processed near to four million pre-orders on September 12th.
If you are looking to buy the device, the estimated period of shipping is 7 to 10 days for the iPhone 6. The iPhone 6 Plus sadly takes 3 to 4 weeks. Both models will be available in 20 more countries including Austria, Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey and United Arab Emirates.
