Remember Mobile World Congress 2018? Of course you did. Remember who won MWC 2018’s top honours? Not really? Let use jog your memory a little bit. Remember when Huawei, the brand behind the brilliant Huawei P20 Pro? They were a part of the MWC 2018 and they showcased something magical; they revealed their MacBook beater, the MateBook X.
Yes , they did; the Chinese manufacturer made a piece of artwork in the MateBook X. The display is almost free of any borders and bezels. They call it FullView and it is inspired by smartphones with their near bezel-less displays. It is also a touch-screen display too making it more smartphone like than you think. They achieved that FullView display on the MateBook X using the LTPS display, first ever in the industry.
It is a super slim notebook that weighs less than 1.5kg too, which means you can take it everywhere without breaking your back too. It comes with either a 2K resolution display or a 3K display on the Pro version. You can even have a Matebook X with a discreet GPU with it to make it a media and productivity powerhouse.
It made headlines in a lot of places and it caught our attention too. The worst part about that announcement in MWC 2018 was that the Huawei MateBook X is not coming to Malaysia. That is about to change though, Huawei is saying that the Huawei MateBook X is coming to town. When and how much? We do not know yet; but we do know that it is coming very soon. So stay tuned.
