Google Maps Updated – Tells You Which Lane You Should Be In
One of the most popular, useful and life saving application that Google ever gave the world was the Maps. As far as maps go Google Maps is probably the most advanced a map can go with many of its exclusive features. Best of all its free. Naturally then it is one of Google’s most important app in their stables. Despite all the seriousness though Google likes to poke some fun into the app. Just the past Easter Google created a “Pokemon Challenge” to the Maps which requires you to capture all 150 Pokemons hidden in random parts of the map.
A few days ago Google updated the Google Maps. The update saw the Maps equipped with probably one of the most important features currently exclusive to Google Maps – Lane Guidance and offline viewing. This means that Google would tell you which lane to go into or stick to while getting to your destination. As an addition Google Maps now allow you to view the map with directions and lets you save it for offline view. The offline feature harks back to HTC’s implementation of the Maps a while ago. Another added feature are the new filters, which would help in searching for restaurants, bars, entertainment or other interesting locations whilst providing information such as ratings, reviews, price range, and also opening hours of those places. Google Maps update also features an enhanced route options where the “last train home” option is included. In addition to all of the above there is also Uber integration. It allows you to order taxi rides and also compare all routes including walking and train transits which definitely come in handy. Despite all the cool features there are some features that may not work in this part of the world yet though. See more for yourself at Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
