Note 4 Might End Up Banned in the U.S.
Samsung has been having a rough year with the patent lawsuits, losing to Apple and struggling with Tizen. But now, it seems that NVIDIA has decided to make the South Korean tech tycoon’s life a little bit harder by fighting over patent rights with the company.
The United States International Trade Commission has decided to investigate into the issue of Samsung’s gadgets patent infringement allegation that resulted in a patent lawsuit between the tech company and NVIDIA. According to NVIDIA’s lawsuit filing, Samsung’s Exynos processor as well as the the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, 400, 600, 800, 801 and 805 violate GPU patents belonging to NVIDIA. Due to this, NVIDIA is asking for a total ban to put onto devices which include the Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Tab S, Galaxy Note Pro and Galaxy Tab 2.
Even though the investigations have just started, it might be smart to start spending on any Samsung device you were looking forward to owning or saving up to buy. If this ban is actually ordered, we won’t be seeing the gadgets in America for quite awhile.
