The Back Plate of iPhone 6 Leaked
Fresh images have surfaced of what seems to be the back plate of the yet to be released iPhone 6. A month back a single picture alleging to be of the rear shell of the device was leaked. However, this was of the everyday not so clear and a bad quality picture.
The new set of images shared by nowhereelse.fr is definitely clearer and of better quality; showing not just the front but different angles of the back plate. Along with the Apple logo, these images seem to be the real, legit thing and is what would be expected from the standards of Apple. There is no way of putting a seal of confirmation on these images but they do seem to be pretty consistent with Apple’s line of work.
What does stand out however, is the Apple logo itself. It seems Apple has strayed away from the usual printed on logo we have seen on iPhones and have opted for the cut out version seen on the iPad and iPad mini. This is not a shocker though as it is easier to pick up signals with the cut out rather than having to pick up signals through the metal case of the iPhone. This move towards cut out is likely due to relocation of antennas in the device.
Other than that, we see from the various views of the pictures, that we can expect Apple’s signature and usual clean cut features such as the camera lens, flash and the mute switch. There may be a few items relocated with the power button as to make it more accessible this time around.
The iPhone 6 should make its grand entrance by September. However, we have yet to have a confirmed size of the device – will it be 4.7 inches or the larger 5.5 inch model? Isn’t that always the question? We will just have to wait and see – hopefully we find out a bit more before the big date!
