Apple Pay & Apple Watch update!
Do you use Apple Pay? According to Wall Street Journal, Apple Pay now has been accounted for 2 out of 3 dollars being spent in contactless payments that are made using Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Although only those 3 carriers, those carriers are considered to be the most dominant financers in the world. With those financers backing them up, Apple Pay has a solid base in the market.
This news is out when Apple’s Q1 2015 financial earnings were posted.
Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, expressed his shock as he didn’t think many merchants will implement the Apple Pay, especially during the holiday season. He continued saying that this is one step ahead from the starting point, and expressed that it’s difficult to to see the future with this small achievement. He is confident, however, that this year will be the “year of Apple Pay”.
Moving on to Apple Watch, Tim Cook said that it will be launched this April. Apple said they’ve sold a huge number of iPhones and they didn’t understand why. Rumors say that it will be released on the second or third Friday of April (17th or 24th April).
Previously, it was reported that they will release Apple Watch by March, but turns out it wasn’t right. Many people who were keen on the watch were curious about the battery life, but it wasn’t mentioned yet. Some say that it will be like your every other smartphones, but we’ll have to wait for an official report to be sure.
